Critical PathMk III, Hull #632 "After thirty years racing, cruising, and generally mucking about in boats around Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, we moved Critical Path up to Lake Simcoe in 2000. We enjoy an active interclub racing series, jaunts around the lake with family and friends to investigate new anchorages and swimming holes, and a close proximity to Georgian Bay and the North Channel beyond. "The Path (ex Tiny Dancer ex Hibernator) got a deck job in 2004 (see Black Arts), and performs beautifully with new sails and simple updated deck hardware (the fun stuff!). Interior and bottom rework are next on the never-ending list! "My parents bought the first C&C 27 Mk III on eastern Lake Ontario (I think it was hull #474 in 1975), and here we are, more than thirty years later, sharing the passion with our own kids on a similar boat! Sometimes I feel like I'm driving my dad's Buick, especially compared to the racers many of our friends sail, but there's nothing else out there I'd rather have!" |
