I was looking at FLYING CIRCUS 1985 hull #581 the other day, it seemed that the only way to access the sea water intake thru hull was by crawling under the vee berth.   Did I miss something? Is there an easier way to open and close this valve?

Hi Josh,

I wouldn't use 5200.  That's for permanent assemblies, something you'll never want to separate again, like hull to deck joints.  I'd suggest Boatlife caulk, or Sikaflex, or 3M 4200.  How about covering the hole with a piece of teak faced marine plywood, or Starboard?

Good Luck, Tony Jeske
