Trolling motor plug

All,

I keep a 12 volt recharagble drill on the boat for general maintanence. Recently I had the idea to take a dead battery, remove the individual cells and then run wire out of it that can plugged into the batteries via a fused circuit. What is throwing me off it the idea of how to rig a plug. I suspect that a trolling motor plug would be sufficient to handle the amps, but thought that I would see if any of you had opinions prior to moving forward with the plan.

thanks
