topside hand rails

1973, C&C 27, #332. While working on some stuff topside I stepped along side my starboard handrail and it split. Now I have two pieces of handrail, not one. Anyone ever had to replace their handrails? If so, where did you find them. If you fabricated some new ones, any pictures or descriptions would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: topside hand rails

I saw somewhere,I thought here, that a company makes composite ones that look just like the teak.
Try in the search
Good luck

Re: topside hand rails

We completely went through our 1973 C&C 27, 342, in 2021, and I was fortunate to fin two 6 ft pieces of beautiful teak, and replaced all of the exterior teak.  Took the teak to a cabinet maker friend, and used the old wood for patterns.  The cost was about US$500 for the teak.

If you are still looking, here's the vendor:
Renneberg Harwoods, Inc.
11773 State Hwy 67 W
PO Box 188
Menahga, Minnesota  56464
218-564-4912

Not sure where you live, but if you are still looking, call around to various cabinet makers, and ask them about vendors closer to you.

Good luck, if you haven't solved this issue already.

CORRECTION:  The teak was more like 12 ft long.  I was going off of the old invoice.  I still have a long (narrow) piece of teak in the boat barn from that project.
