Companion bags

These bags hold all sorts of bits and pieces – the lines when sailing, gloves, sail ties, cell phones, wee cameras, a pair of pliers, bottles of water, all sorts of things. They are elastic tensioned and when open are more spacious than they seem at first glance.

They are mounted on a rectangular pieces of rigid canvas which are held in place by four dome fasteners along their top edges. The press studs are strong and secure, and easily hold the weight of the lines, sailing gloves, phones, wallets, sun glasses and so on which are hiding in them.

They work well while sailing, but the lines can't be there once the hatch is closed. – Alan Ford, Smoke
