Atomic 4 cooling

My Atomic 4 has no strainer/filter between the raw water intake and the pump. Having completed a total rebuild over the winter, I think I should install one but am having trouble assessing the pros/cons of the various types. That said, I'm leaning toward a Vetus unit. Any comments/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Re: Atomic 4 cooling

I don't think the Vetus has a winter drain plug, but since it seldom freezes in Ottawa, that shouldn't matter.

I will send you pictures of my set up with an inboard water intake filter as well as my marelan seacocks.
