"Smoke has been owned by Alan since 2009, and is actively raced, with son Jamie, in the white sail division of BHYC's Tuesday, Thursday and Fall Series.
Smoke is hull number 002, and was C&C's prototype for the new series of 27's, launched in 1984. Some searching indicates that there was no hull 001, but it has been suggested that the original moulds for the Mark V were given that number for identification purposes. Thus are myths born."
