Jim.. What is your setup for the spin on the Mark V? Uphaul/Downhaul or uphaul with twings or both? Where is the placement of the downhaul block?

For Sale: Doyle stackpack (red) in good condition with all hardware included. It works great.. Just release the halyard and the main falls down into to cover and zipper it at the top.. Never flake/fold another sail again. Can send pics.. $250.00 obo

Hey Scott.. added some Seafoam to oil and fuel.. On Saturday, motored for 45 min or so at 2700 to 3000 rpm, engine seemed to run good.. Last night, looked at the engine and found it covered in black dust (unburnt fuel).. Does this suggest I have a clogged or restricted exhaust elbow? Hole in the exhaust hose? Any other explanation?

Hi All.. I came across a cheap Martec folding prop 15X12.. I know that Martec recommends a 14X11 for the 1GM10.. Is the 15X12 going to be too big? Any thoughts?

Thanks Steve.. Removed the old 1/2'' line and replaced with 7 mm spectra, a small block and jam cleat.. 1 less line to worry about on the cabin top..

I'm looking to trade my Doyle stackpack for a conventional Main.. It's an ideal setup for anyone that does a lot of single handed or short handed cruising.. The bulk of my sailing is beer can racing thru the week, and weekends.. If interested, I can email some pics.

I'm going to crack it open today.. I'll know in a couple of hours the extent of the required rebuild.. Fingers crossed for top end rebuild only..

Torresen marine have a 1GM10 rebuild kit for $540.00.. They don't ship to Canada, but I can have it shipped to a friend in Maine and have him relay it me.. I have access to a cheap diesel mechanic ($30.00/hour).. I have not priced these parts in Canada, but I'm guessing that they're much more expensive..

Hi All.. My 1GM10 is out and on the shop floor.. little or no compression.. Easiest thing to do is to drop it off at my local yanmar dealer and take my lumps.. But there must be another way, a cheaper way.. Any canucks do their own rebuild.. I understand that Yanmar parts are much more expensive in Canada.. Any advice or suggestions would be great..
