#1 General discussion » Placement of Genoa T Tracks on C&C 27 Mark 1 » 2024-03-20 19:31:57

Hello racing enthusiasts!  I own a C&C 27, Mark 1 for just a few years.  First time boat owner, but sailed most of my life.
First time drilling holes in my deck!  Gulp....
I would like to install a 6ft T Track for the Genoa on both sides.  Currently I attach the Genoa block to the toerail.  Not good for upwind angles.
My question is around placement of the T Track.  Fore and Aft where should the placement be, and then on what angle?
Many thanks!

Hello Everyone, glad to be onboard!  Just purchased my first C&C 27 MK1. Used to sail a C&C 26 in Lake Huron with my Dad in the early 80's.  I also used to crew in NSC with various C&C 27s, great fleet!  Right now, the boat is on the hard in Long Sault, and I'm probably going to stay on the St. Lawrence next year, and then consider NSC.  This is my first keelboat that I've ever owned, I know the sailing part, but engines, electrical and other systems, total newbie.  Going to be fun to learn.

I'm in the market for a good used racing mainsail, and possibly genoa if the right price.

If anyone knows of one, please let me know!

Thanks in advance,

Chris Williamson
