Going back in time, I bought this rudder from Mike Lohr. He had his keel stolen and this was his rudder.

The boom is Oval.
I think the rudder shaft is solid. I don't know if the shaft is hollow or not. Will have to checck Tapping it?

Running the new Raymarine wheel pilot all weekend. Super easy. Practically no calibration.

I am in the final process of installing a Raymarine Smart Pilot wheel installation. Just finished the mechanical parts and it was not as bad as I was expecting.
The wheel part is the most complicated and it was quite easy.
The electronics is next and that should be a breeze.
My boat is all Raymarine, so I don't expect any problems.

I have been soaking in fabric softener. Not too much. Makes the line easier to handle.
If the lines are too dirty, I soak and then wash if necessary.
