thru Hulls

Our thru hulls are old and a few are frozen beyond repair.  We are thinking about replacing them is there a reason not to?

Re: thru Hulls

My insurance agent claims that 70% of recreational boats that sink, sink in the slip due to failure of thru-hulls and hoses, etc.  He's an old salt that's been in the marine insurance business for over 40 years.  I am inclined to believe him!
If t hey are frozen, you know there is corrosion in them, you just can't tell how serious it is!
