Stuffing box maintenance

Hi all

Looks like i have to take on stuffing box re-stuffing.  I'm getting a drip every second when in gear.

I have C&C27 III.  i want to get right materials in advance but hear packing could be 1/4" or 3/16" (or something else).    Is there a C&C standard?

Thanks

Re: Stuffing box maintenance

Search "stuffing box", "flax", "packing" and all relevant terms. There is a lot of discussion of this issue, from size to type to doing the job while afloat.
