line sizes?

Hi Guys,
My 1975 MKIII is in need of a new set of running rigging. THe boat is standard in every way except having the halyards led to the cabin top winches. As I'm the 3rd owner I'm not sure what the original lines were in size or length. I'm working with a company in Nova Scotia that is offering a complete set for a C&C 27 MKIII but they don't seem to know the specs completely. What I need to know is the size and length of the
Main and jib halyards, Spinacker halyards sheet lines for main, 150 jib, and spinacker sheets and guys and down hauls etc. In other words a complete set of running rigging.<IMG src="http://www.cc27association.com/f3/toast/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0>
Another part of the question is do I still need  wire spliced halyards? Are they any things I should look for different than the original set of lines? Should the various sheet lines be tied on or clipped on?
Thanks in advance

Re: line sizes?

There is a table of line diameters and sizes in the manual. You'd need to add additional lengths for the run aft to the winches. If you don't have the manual, a searchable pdf is available from the Association and is free to Association members.

My main halyard is wire with a rope tail; it's almost totally non-stretch and I cannot see that the miniscule additional weight, expressed as a percentage of total rig weight, is going to make any difference. My genoa halyard and spinnaker halyards are rope. Genoa sheets are tied, chute sheet/guy have shackles.
